A.P. Moller – Maersk would like to provide a further update regarding temporary rail capacity constraints at APM Terminals Maasvlakte II in the Port of Rotterdam.

As part of the ongoing APM Terminals expansion works, rail capacity at Maasvlakte II will remain constrained beyond the previously communicated January 2027 timeframe. Based on the current project planning, these constraints are expected to continue until the end of June 2027.

Customers should therefore continue to expect reduced rail availability during this period. We are working with customers to identify suitable transport arrangements for their individual flows.

Alternative and interim options

Depending on individual shipment requirements and operational availability, alternative arrangements may include:

Barge on-carriage to inland terminals
Truck transport
Alternative rail solutions where operationally feasible
