Structural changes to ME1 Gemini service

AI 导读

马士基与赫伯罗特宣布ME1 Gemini服务将改经苏伊士运河,不再绕行好望角,继续连接印度与欧洲。新挂港顺序为Mundra–Nhava Sheva–Salalah–Suez Canal–Tangier–Rotterdam–Wilhelmshaven–Hamburg–London–Algeciras–Tangier–Suez Canal–Salalah–Mundra。

推荐理由

公告明确ME1改经苏伊士运河后的完整挂港顺序,但生效日期缺失,且后续安排受红海安全局势影响,有助于识别交期与航线调整风险。

We are pleased to share that Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd are announcing a structural change to the ME1 Gemini service. It will now sail via the trans-Suez route instead of transiting via the Cape of Good Hope.

What this means for you

ME1 - connects India and Europe, and the structural change means the service will have the following rotation:

Mundra – Nhava Sheva – Salalah – Suez Canal – Tangier – Rotterdam – Wilhelmshaven – Hamburg – London – Algeciras – Tangier – Suez Canal – Salalah – Mundra

Changes will take effect from:

More efficient transit times

The Suez Canal is a vital maritime corridor between East and West and a key driver of efficient global supply chains. The route through the Suez Canal and Red Sea is the fastest, most sustainable, and most efficient way to serve customers with transport between India and Europe. By transitioning the ME1 to the trans-Suez corridor instead of sailing around the Cape of Good Hope, we will offer more efficient transit times for customers.

Next steps

Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd will continue to monitor the security situation in the Middle East region very closely, and any alteration to services within the Gemini Cooperation will remain dependent on the ongoing stability in the Red Sea area. The safety of the crew, vessels, and customers' cargo remains the highest priority.
