We would like to inform you of an upcoming change to the Price Calculation Date (PCD) logic used to calculate inland charges for import shipments in the following countries:

Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Malta, Montenegro, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia.

Under the current logic, when an import Bill of Lading is booked with a CY move and the inland prosecution is added via import shipment for destination last-mile delivery, the applicable inland charges, including fuel, are calculated and applied using the Ocean Booking Price Calculation Date.

In the aim of reducing mismatches and delays in the application of inland charges, including fuel adjustments, all import shipments created from January 1st, 2027 onwards will have inland charges calculated based on the import shipment creation date instead of the Ocean Booking PCD.

Meanwhile, all Bills of Lading booked as Store Door (SD) move at destination, will remain subject to the current pricing logic, with inland charges calculated based on the Ocean Booking PCD.

Ocean Booking Price Calculation Date logic:

For non-FMC, Ocean Booking PCD refers to the scheduled departure date of the first water leg at the time of booking confirmation for non-spot bookings.

For FMC, Ocean Booking PCD is the last container gate-in date for non-spot bookings.
